	ADRIATIC SEA The Adriatic sea got its name from an ancient port of the same name. The city Adria is on the italien part of the coast, today about 38 km distant from the seaside. The part belonging to the Republic of Croatia is the eastcoast which extands all the way from Prevlaka in the south to cape Savudrija in the west, including all island, islets and cliffs (more than 1700).
